What certificate does Kenya require before shipping?

A KEBS Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) certificate, issued in China before loading. Kenya also enforces an eight-year age limit on imported vehicles, which a 0 km factory unit clears automatically, and requires right-hand drive. We arrange PVoC inspection as part of the export documentation package.

What does Nigeria require?

A SONCAP certificate from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, based on a Product Certificate issued after pre-shipment inspection. Nigeria is left-hand drive, so the eTerron 9 Premium 4WD, eTerron 9 Luxury 4WD and T90 EV Double Cab are the eligible specifications.

Is there import duty relief for electric vehicles in Africa?

It varies and it changes. Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia have all applied reduced excise or VAT treatment to fully electric vehicles at various points; Nigeria and Ghana have run EV incentive schemes tied to local assembly. We quote FOB and CIF only — confirm the current duty position with your clearing agent before committing, because these rates move faster than any exporter's price list.

Can the charging infrastructure support these vehicles?

For depot-based fleets, yes, without public infrastructure. Both platforms charge fully overnight from an 11 kW three-phase supply, which most commercial and industrial premises already have. The T90 EV's 471 km WLTP city range covers a full municipal shift between overnight charges. Public DC charging is only relevant for long-distance intercity duty.
