MAXUS Yuanjie DM-D Hybrid Van 2026

Yuanjie is the answer for fleets that want electric drive characteristics without a charging network. SAIC MAXUS pairs a 2.0T DHE dedicated hybrid diesel with a 150 kW traction motor and a 30 kWh battery through a DHT hybrid transmission, for 280 kW and 798 Nm of system output — figures no conventional van in the class approaches — while returning from 7.9 L/100 km and covering 1,100 km C-WTVC on one tank. A 90 litre fill converts to as much as 285 kWh of generated power, and 6 kW of internal plus 6 kW of external discharge turns the van into a mobile generator.

N1 or M2 by body, homologated as a plug-in hybrid — which in several markets sits in a different duty band from both pure diesel and pure electric, and occasionally in a more favourable one. Verify the classification before modelling landed cost.
