MAXUS Interstellar X 2027

Interstellar X is the 2027 flagship of the SAIC MAXUS Automotive Co., Ltd. diesel pickup line and the only Chinese pickup holding both Euro NCAP and ANCAP five-star ratings. The SAIC πPlus 2.5T diesel produces 165 kW and 520 Nm through a ZF 8-speed automatic and a super-select 4WD system with 2.64:1 torque multiplication, three electronically locking differentials and a 100% maximum gradient. It clears a 75 km/h moose test — unusual for a ladder-frame pickup — and carries over 73% high and ultra-high strength steel. Mining, exploration and overland tour operators across Africa, Central Asia and Latin America are the target buyers.

N1 category diesel. Euro NCAP and ANCAP five-star results give an unusually strong safety evidence pack for markets that assess crash performance at type approval. Emission calibration is set per destination — confirm the required standard on enquiry.
